Step 2 · Verification
Verifying an Exness account without repeat rejections
Exness checks the email and phone first, then a short profile, then two documents: a proof of identity and a proof of address. Most repeat rejections come from the address document or from a photo that is cut off, blurred or does not match the name in the profile — all of which can be checked before uploading.

In short
- Exness recommends verifying as soon as possible after registering: it protects access to the account and lifts deposit limits.
- The proof of address must show the same name and address as the profile; the Personal Area lists what is accepted for the country.
- A free demo account works without verification, so the platform can be learned while documents are reviewed.
The verification steps
- Email. Exness sends a one-time code to confirm the address.
- Phone number. A code arrives by SMS or call. If it does not arrive, see codes that do not arrive.
- Profile. Name, date of birth, address and a few questions about trading experience. The name must be written exactly as in the identity document.
- Proof of identity. A photo or scan of an identity document, for example a passport or national ID card.
- Proof of address. A recent document with the same name and address as the profile.
The verification section of the Personal Area shows which steps are still open and, when uploading, which documents are accepted for the account's country.
Proof of address: what usually works
This is the step people get stuck on most often. A proof of address is a document that connects the account holder's name to the address in the profile. Typical examples are a recent utility bill (electricity, water, gas, internet or phone), a bank or card statement, or another official document that shows the full name and address.
- The address must match the profile — same street, house number and city. If it does not, correct the profile or use a document with the profile address.
- The document must be recent and in the account holder's own name. The exact age limit for the country is shown in the Personal Area.
- Renting, or no bills in your name? A bank statement sent to the address often works. If nothing is in your name, ask Exness Support in the Personal Area which alternative is accepted in your country before uploading again.
- One document for both steps. In some regions an identity document that shows the address can confirm both identity and address.
Before uploading: a 30-second check
- All four corners of the document are visible; nothing is cut off or covered by fingers.
- The text is sharp and readable, without glare from a lamp or the camera flash.
- The document is valid — not expired.
- It is a photo or scan of the original document, not a screenshot, not an edited image and not a copy of a copy.
- The name matches the profile letter by letter, including middle names.
Why a document gets rejected — and the fix
| What happened | What to do |
|---|---|
| Photo blurred, dark or with glare | Retake in daylight, flat on a table, without flash. |
| Part of the document is missing | Photograph the whole page with all corners visible. |
| Name in the profile differs from the document | The profile name must match the document. If the name was typed wrongly at registration, ask Exness Support how to correct it. |
| Address document rejected | Use a recent document in the account holder's own name with the same address as the profile; see the list above. |
| Expired document | Upload a valid document. |
| Rejected again with no clear reason, or “pending” for more than a day | Open the Support hub in the Personal Area and ask what exactly is missing before uploading again. |
Why a broker asks for documents at all
A broker has to know who holds each account and where the money goes; checking identity and address is a standard requirement for that. Exness also notes that full verification helps make sure only the account holder can access the account, and it lifts deposit limits. Exness does not ask for documents to give a loan or to sell anything.
While the documents are reviewed
Every new Exness Personal Area comes with a demo account with virtual money, so the platform, order types and position sizes can be practised without verification and without a deposit. See the demo account page.
Upload documents only inside the official Exness Personal Area. Do not send document photos by chat or email to anyone — including people who offer to “speed up” verification. Partner Support never asks for documents.
